El Hassan Youth Award was derived from the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme established in 1956.

The El Hassan Youth Award scheme started in Jordan in 1984 as a Pilot Scheme in the Amman Baccalaureate School. The EYA provides a big opportunity for Jordanian Youth between ages od 14-25 to enroll in self challenging educational and non academic programmes in services, skills, adventurous journeys and physical recreation to achieve a balanced personality development for Jordanian youth.

The meeting focused on the possibility in sharing programmes with the Order of Malta Jordan in sustaining the poor with a particular referenze for the moment to offer vaccinations through Mobile Clinic activities in rural areas of Jordan.
